Re: Troubleshooting TWINHAN VisionDTV Sat (1022A)

Hi,

I'm struggeling with my TWINHAN DVB-S card on Kernel 2.6.16
It was working before, and asfaik I didn't change anything this day. I only
rebooted once.
I recompiled several times, but always got the same problem, that the DMA
core of the card cannot be determined.
I already turned off ALSA support for bt878, no success. I also set the
PCI latency in BIOS to 32, nothing....

When I compare the /var/log/messages from the time where it worked and where
it fails I see the following difference:

This is where it fails : bt878_probe: card
id=[0x1fefe], Unknown card.
When working it got a different card id : bt878_probe: card id=[0x11822],[
Twinhan VisionPlus DVB ] has DVB functions.

Any ideas ?? I've attached all logs which I think could help.

After unplugging the power cord, does the card work again?

If yes, this confirms there is a problem in the linux driver which prevents the card to functiob after reboot.
