      That binary retention may soon increase.  Giganews is in the
process of extending binary retention to 240 days (According to
<http://www.giganews.com/news/article/binary-retention-240days.html>,
they expect to have the "storage infrastructure" operational sometime
in September, after which the retention will grow.).  Since Giganews
is the host for n.m.o, I would expect that retention for n.m.o binary
newsgroups would increase accordingly.
