Actually no due to the complexities of the set up with 
Mozilla/google/giganews. erasing (deleting you own messages don't work 
while it may kill what you see at your end it not deleted at server end.

Unlike the old netscape days when Netscape (then AOL) owned the serve 
you could erase your own messages.

another fallout to that is if you click on something that is expired you 
use to be able to remove all expired messages that no longer works as 
well. At least it hasn't since using SM1. 2 or TB2, 3  after we went to 
google/giganews set up.
