***BOGO*** [Mingw-users] make is super slow

Hi,

Sorry, I was unsubscribed from the list do to bounces, and can't reply
to your original response.

Yes, it takes forever! Basically I ran my autogen.sh script on linux.
Then on windows, I do

  //server/path/to/configure .....
  make -j2

So, I didn't map any network drives. Do you think that would improve
performance?

If I ping the machine, I see this
  Reply from 192.168.3.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

so it's very fast.

$ echo $PATH
/c/Python25:.:/usr/local/bin:/mingw/bin:/bin:/c/WINDOWS/system32:/c/WINDOWS:/c/WINDOWS/System32/Wbem:/c/
+Python25

$ which make
/bin/make.exe

Any ideas?
