Heh, I just /knew/ when I wrote that, that someone was going to call me 
on my sloppy terminology. But, yes, that's what I was trying to say. A 
hardlink is an actual FS entry pointing to an inode (that is a real file).

Right, and since the other link may be in a different mountpoint (think 
bind mounts or NFS), trying to find the other link can be difficult or 
even impossible.
